Do you have any pointers on growing really large daikon?

Some daikon I see in oriental grocery stores are several times as large as any I have grown. Pictures from Japan show even larger ones, really huge. How do they do that?

spade the ground deeper and remove rocks and obstructions . Use fertilizer , but NOT GRASS FERTILIZER .

Ask Kitazawa seeds if they can get you the right seeds for growing giant daikons.

dangould Kitazawa Seed already sells seeds for growing giant Diakon. The variety is Sakurajima Mammoth.
