Help with my Pumpkins

| I just checked my pumpkins a few minutes ago and they are about the size of a baseball to a softball size. Then I noticed that there are tons of flowers on them as well. It is Sept 4th, 2004. Will they grow big enough for Halloween?
My mother-in-law planted seeds in my garden sometime in June. Was this too late to plant them or just in time?
I also noticed that a lot of the green leaves are dying.
Please help me? Is there something that I can fertilize them with to make them grow faster???

| If you remove the flowers and all of the extra tiny pumpkins, the plant can then focus its energy on the softball sized pumpkins, and you might get some decent ones. |
