Square Pumpkin Update

Posted by opiem Northern CA (My Page) on

Bad news kids. No square pumpkins this season. My best pumpkin stopped growing when it was about the size of a volleyball.(big max my butt) I should've made at least one box smaller than 12"x12"x12". My varmit troubles never abated either. Between the gophers and the deer, I had no luck at all.

All is not lost though. I picked up a hydroponic kit this week and I plan to try to grow some indoor pumpkins over the winter. I might even give square tomatos a try as well. Thanks to everyone for all your advice and help.

RE: Square Pumpkin Update

A square tomato would fit well on a slice of bread. Make it cylinder-shaped to fit on hamburger buns. But how do you slice a square watermelon?
