Hello. You might want to click on the attached link and find tomatoes in the list. Hope this helps. There is also a tomatoe called "Thunderbelly" I purchased the seeds one year from a seed supplier in England. I grew 4 lb. tomatoes that year. I will post the name of the seed house as soon as I find the catalogue.

I doubt if the giant was a delicious. That was a one time freak of nature. No delicious has come close to that size since. For giants I'd go with an heirloom myself like Giant Belgium or Brimmer, there are several or the one hybrid that seems to out do them all is the Big zac available at Totolly Tomato. Since MRS. Zachariah was the lady that developed it sold the secret cross rights to totally tomato. She always has between 4-6 pound tomatoes.

The New Ohio State Record Tomato!!!

Off of the 5.58 Timm and weighing in at 4.83 pounds. .35 pounds heavier than the current Ohio State Record. Brant's 5.58 Timm 08 was grown off of the 3.9 Catapano 07 which was originally grown from a Lyon's seed which was a Big Zac.

I also grew a tomato which weighed in at 4.14 pounds off of a variety called "BelMonte" which had a perfect classic tomato shape.

I grew 6 tomatoes over three pounds and 8 over 2.5 pounds.

I have two pumpkins in the patch, one weighing just over 900 pounds and one just under 800 pounds and growing.

If anyone would like to learn how to grow Giant tomatoes, pumpkins or just about any other vegetable your welcome to stop in at www.ohiogiants.com and learn from some of the best.

BigVegnut. You from Ohio?
I noticed the Frito Lay shirt. I have friends who work at the Wooster and Canton plants, you look familiar.

I don't like to post my email here. Every time I post my website url I get loads of SPAMMERS I have to deal with.
If your interested in trading seeds, please register at my website and we can discuss the particulars via our private message system.
There are several other Giant Veggie growers on the site with LOTS more pics who love to trade seeds.
For the past two years I have been sponsoring several Giant Vegetable contests. I have yet to find a better prize package for the winners anywhere on the net. Anyone is welcome to join.

Grow Em BIG!!!!!

RE: Monster Tomatoes

Saturday I watched my Ohio State record title go down in a big way. LOL
Last year I took the title from Nick Harp at the Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers annual weigh-off. This year Nick brought a tomato which weighed in at 7.18 pounds which was grown off of the 5.58 Timm seed.
Congratulations Mr. Nick Harp!
There have only ever been four tomatoes recorded which have broken the seven pound barrier.
1986 7.75 lbs gordon graham Edmond OK USA
2004 7.315 lbs Maria Di franco Toronto Canada
2006 7.418 Gianfranco Sarin Toronto Canada
2009 7.18 lbs MR. Nick Harp Ohio USA

Nick's wife Christy brought a 4.64 pound tomato which was grown off of the 5.0 Timm seed.
Christy also broke the World Record for heaviest pumpkin ever grown in the World which weighed in at a mere 1725 pounds.
Congratulations Christy Harp!!!!!!!!!!

Pictures of both the pumpkin and the tomato can be viewed at www.ohiogiants.com
