Estimating weight in giant pumpkins

Does anyone have insight they'd like to share on the various weight estimation tables available that are based on fruit size? Does anyone swear by one particular table, have suggested improvements or general comments on the use of tables? A similar method is used to estimate yield in cabbage and I am curious about size-weight relationships in vegetables, giant or otherwise.

All the weight estimation tables work on following principle. They use set measurements to get an estimate of the volume of the vegetable in question then multiply it be a fix density number. they determined the density number by comparing known fruit volume and then dividing weight.
All these tables can only said be rough estimates
compared to certified scale at a weigh off.
