This is Kaempferia "Grande" it continued to shoot up new blooms for about a month before the leaves popped up and now the leaves are huge.
Does anyone know what this Ginger is? It shot up a couple flowers before the leaves appeared. It has relatively narrow leaves with markings.

| My first guess would be that your second photo is Kaempferia rotunda. Here's a photo of ours ...

| Kaempferia rotunda is it! This is my first spring and full year to really be into gingers. I planted quite a few at the end of last summer and some this spring. I have one other that I am not sure what it is. It has yellow bloom and I think it was called Dancing ladies. |

| We have this one commonly called Dancing Ladies.
It's a Globba schomurgkii. -Ray |

| Yea that's the one. I did some googlein'on Globba and saw that there was quite a different variety of them. Right now just one of mine are in bloom, and there is another shoot stretching up fast and quite a few little bity ones that are staying pretty small. I can't wait until they multiply to form a mass. Thanks for your help. |
