very similar to typical costus speciosus, but slightly different with a smaller, more elongated greenish "cone". just a variety or a different species?

There is a wonderful new book available. "Gingers of Thailand" by Dr. Kai Larsen published by Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden. 184 pages and 183 color photographs. It is a real treasure for anyone interested in gingers
