It's Planting Time!

I just received my order of four different gingers: Curcuma elata, Kaempferia gilbertii, Hedychium 'Dave Case' and Costus spicatus. Actually I ordered three gingers and the owner generously tossed in for free three rhizomes of Costus spicatus (Orange Spiral Ginger). So, once it stops raining outside I'm gonna get some dirt under my fingernails!

Yes its planting time here too. Our average frost free date is March 10 so bulbs and dormant rhizomes and tubers can be planted now. Trees too!!!! I have 3 new ornamental magnolias to plant out front where the hurricanes this September took down 7 trees, I have a bunch of hedychiums, curcumas, amorphophallus, crinums to plant, and when frost free passes will be transplanting out some rooted brugs, costus, agaves, and tons of other stuff!
