| It is January here in Hawaii. My red ginger plants have mature looking air clusters (looks like other air plants such as spider plants). I would like to take some cuttings and start new plants.
Do I cut them as I would a spider plant and root them in water?
Would they prefer to root into ground?
Do I need to attach a soil packet to them and let them root priot to the cutting?
Please advise.
They will not be able to root naturally as the location is landscaped with volcanic rock and it is unlikely they will be able to bend over and push roots through this material.
Thanks for your help!
