Question about globba bulblets

| I planted some of my globba bulblets last year, and they are still there, but have never come up. Is this normal? Do they just need it to get warmer?
I'd love to get more of these beauties. I'm going to try to make a border around my shade garden with them. |

bulbils, like the rhizomes are very late to sprout. Sometimes they'll sprout after the rhizomes which is usually late april thru may for us in zone 8b. Tim Chapman |

| My globbas are always the last gingers to appear. I planted some Purple Globe 2 years ago, and it seeded its little bulbils naturally, and last spring (LATE spring) all these little Purple Globes just sprouted everywhere! |

It may depend on temps., Tim's the expert, tho. Mine seem to not come up until mid to late April-May. kevin |
