 o
hardy ginger for zone 7

Lots of people grow a hardy type of ginger here in virginia beach and the fragrance can be enjoyed a block away. I would like to get some for my yard, but don't know what kind of ginger it is. I've started some hawaiian ginger indoors, but doubt that it will over winter here. Does anyone know what kind of ginger will over winter in my area?

There are a lot of Hedychiums (Butterfly Ginger)that are hardy in Zone 7. Hedy. Coronaruium (white butterfly) has the strongest scent. Lots of different colors too but none as fragrant as the white, IMO.
