I am new to this forum but I have had ginger lilies for several years. I went out a bit ago to check them and they are already sprouting. Our spring has already started here in southeast Alabama.

Same here on the Mississippi Coast. The hedychiums anyway. So far nothing from the curcumas. Although the bananas and crinums have also been sending up new growth for much of the winter.

Do you watch hummingbirds. One was spotted near Mobile yesterday. I am a big fan of the hummers. If you like them visit the Hummingbird Garden.

I have got to seperate my gingers this year. I have even let someone talk me into getting some cannas for the hummingibrds. Don't have any bananas or crinums.
