Which way does this silly rhizome go?

Happy Sunday everyone!
I have a white ginger rhizome and I cannot for the life of me figure out which way to plant it. It is somewhat bow shaped, I don't see anything resembling the start of roots. It almost looks like there could be eyes on either side of it. How do I know which way is up? Any other hints?
Thanks in advance for any help!

| If it is bow shaped put the lowest part of the bow down. Either way.....that sucker will grow for you if the conditions are right. It spreads like crazy for me and I don't think it would care which way it was planted! LOL! |

| You could always plant it on its side. That is what I do when I am in doubt. |
