 o
height of variegated ginger

Hello! I'm hoping to be enlightened about the height of variegated ginger. We bought "Tall Height" variegated ginger, and we also mistakenly bought the "Shrub" variety. Is there really a difference in height between the shrub and "tall" variety? We would like to plant under the canopy of an oak tree and are hoping for 5 to 8 feet high.

RE: height of variegated ginger

Hi Grace, I don't think anyone has ever heard of shrub type, when referring to a ginger. Do you have the botanical name? I do think 5-8 feet may be an average height for the variegated ginger if it is an alpinia.
