hey everyone, glad to see some new postings on this forum.I was just looking at some old Horticulture magazines and came across a paragraph about Hedychium Elizabeth. Article as follows. A handsome new butterfly ginger, Hedychium 'Elizabeth' is being introduced by Louisiana Nursery. The fragrant, raspberry-colored flowers have wavy margins: the plant grows six feet tall. it is hardy in zones 8 to 10. This from Horticulture the magazine of American gardening. February 1994 Page 24. thought this was very interesting and help date the introduction of this plant that I don't have yet.S0 already been in the trade for 15 years.

| It's one of my favorite hedychiums. I've had it for about 5 years. I thought it had been around for longer than 15 years. Needs a little shade to keep the leaves attractive and the blooms aren't as fragrant as Hedychium Coronarium, but what ginger is as fragrant. Steve |
