Central Florida: Offering Free Galangal Plants

Posted by wackyfiasco 9b (My Page) on

I am getting ready to thin out my bed of Alpinia galanga. If you are in the Central Florida area and would like some in your garden or landscape, you are welcome to come by and take as many sections as you like.

Its flowers and rhizomes are commonly used in Southeast Asian cooking, and it is an attractive, hardy plant that propagates easily.

I also posted this up on the local Freecycle message board, but thought to include these happy gardeners in on it who may be local to me.

Where are you located. I live in Ocala.

Well, I'm not terribly close to you, I live in Orlando near OIA. If you plan on being in the Orlando area anytime soon, let me know and I won't dig up and freeze all the excess just yet.

Hi:

I would like to buy a galanga root from you since I cannot have your free offer due to distance (I live in California). Can I pay you for the root + shipping and handling?

Thanks,
