 o
too close together?

I have several Curcuma elatas and Curcuma petiolatas coming up (they're about 4 inches high), and I'm wondering if I've planted them too close together. They're only about 6 inches apart.

Is this too close? If so, should I move them?

Thanks for your help - this is my first ginger attempt!

RE: too close together?

they will be mixing into each other before the end of summer, so I'd move them further apart. C. elata doesn't spread as fast as the other but it does grow out and its a huge plant. I'd give your clumps a couple feet of space between each other. You also want to display them a bit more, so too close and they aren't as attractive in the landscape.
