Collecting seed

| I have an asarum maximum (panda face ginger) that has finished blooming. Can anyone tell me about collecting seed and when is the best time? Flowering has finished, and the spent flowers are still on the plant. I tried to use the search feature and it appears the GW site is having some problems with server being down and a search is not possible at this time. Many thanks, Suz |

| Asarum's are from the Aristolochiaceae family, true "gingers" are Zingiberales these are ENTIRELY different. You might try the vine forum for a better answer. I don't have any Asarums, I do have a few Aristolochias and they form seed pods, that you just need to let mature, turn brown and then pick. |
