| Plant the rhizome in well draining soil 1/2" - 1" deep. Don't overwater. You will see growth in about 2 weeks. |

You may notice red bud tips on the tuber. Plant the budding tips down in full sun and water during a dry summer. Mike |

| I think I just planted my yellow ginger rhizome upside down. There are roots and red bud tips on the rhizome, so I planted with the roots down like other plants; the tips are facing up. I'm confused. Please advise. Should I dig up the rhizome from my container? There were also 2 dead-looking 2-inch "stock" on the top of the rhizome that I thought was old growth, which I pruned off (from reading the article by Tim on this website, I might have cut off some important part). Help. The rhizome was a house-warming gift. It may not survive my guests' visit. |
