| any clues as an easy (if there is such)way to the rhizomes of shell ginger?i've tried the shovel,pitch fork..i'm thinking a hatchet next.got to be an easier way

| steve, i think you're right!they are planted up against the solid brick on the south side of my house.three years to speread like this,although i love the bloom smell.everyone that comes to visit,i give'em the shovel.i've gotten 4 or 5 rhizomes successfully.....can't give up now,i want to plant something else in that spot,and put a few of these way on the back property line..any other suggestions? thanks patricia |

| Patricia, I wish I had a better solution. I've been digging up a little each week. I've got to get the stand of ginger reduced by half; otherwise it is going to take out my neighbors fence. |
