Hedychium flavum / wardii
I ordered this one from eBay, and it was posted with a picture of H. wardii, so I bought it, hoping it was that one, but I'm happy with it anyway. My plants go into the greenhouse in the winter (Indiana) and this one is one of the first to start growing again. This stalk is almost bloomed out, but I have two more coming. I have labeled it flavum, though I know there is confusion with flavescens. It seems to have smooth leaves and its flower shape matches the one on the GingersRUs site.
I would sure love to see/obtain H. wardii..sounds amazing. It's available in the UK, but not here in the states. Anybody got any leads on it? John Jearrard has the best description of this new one: http://www.johnjearrard.co.uk/plants/hedychium/hedychiumwardii/species.html
