ID requested - Costus w/ red under leaves?

Hi all,

I was told this one likes shade & maxes out at 4'. I'm thinking it is a costus? Thanks in advance!

Probably costus vinosum. There are several other costus' that have red underleaves, but vinosum has been in the trade longer.

C vinosus usually has flared ligules although I have seen it where it wasn't so pronounced. I would also add Costus erythrophyllus to your possibility list.
