I put in a bunch of new gingers a few months ago. All are doing great with the exception of Dr. Moy. The one I put in the ground died. It is with some other hedych., part sun, mostly in am. I still have some in a pot that I want to get in the ground. More sun? Less sun? Does it like to be wetter than the others? Anyone have any experience growing this one? Thanks! Tally HO!

Well, I think maybe your Moy might have had an unforeseen isolated problem...I have found that mine are absolutely the most vigorous of all the hedychiums I have, just try again I am sure you will get one to grow for you.

I totally agree I find Dr. Moy to be a very vigorous grower. Do be careful of the sun only mornig sun as afternoon sun tends to burn the white in the variegation. Liz
