| My butterfly ginger is growing up and out of the soil. Do they naturally grow ontop of the ground? My grandmother has a huge colony of them and the rhizomes are all over the place coming up out of the soil. Should I top dress with humus? |

| Yes that is natural. A little top dressing want hurt. |
