Beehive ginger as houseguest?

Hi,

I just found out that Zingiber spectabile 'Beehive Ginger' does not go dormant in the winter like many other zingibers. Does anyone know if this ginger makes a good potted houseplant during the winter (provided it does not get too tall by the end of the summer)?

If it is planted in a pot it should not get too tall to bring in for the winter and hopefully next spring or summer you will have blooms. Good Luck
