| I have a shady area that needs some plants (finally getting rid of tha blasted privet).
It is shady with a little dapple of sun in the afternoon. It is not a deep shade. I would love some ginger in this area. It is only about 4 feet long and a foot deep against a fence so there isn't a ton of room. Are there any gingers I can grow there in zone 9b that don't spread too fast. |

| Zingiber 'Midnight' is small and likes shade. I don't think it spreads too fast. Mine hasn't anyway and of course I want mine to spread. |
