| My pinecone ginger are up and growing good. Good green leaves on them. Do I need to fertlize them,if so with what,so they will make the pinecones. How long before the pinecones start to grow. It took forever for the plants to come up.

| Gingers' sprouting time depends on soil temp. Can't remember the exact number and it probably varies for different species. Maybe Tim will jump in with the number. I didn't fertilize mine at all to get the inflos (see my post about "Pinecones Flowering"). Dave |
