| I just got my order yesterday and apparently wasn't careful enough unwrapping the Globba Winitti and the stalk broke off of the rhizome. :(
I planted the rhizome and I hope it will be ok?????
Planting all of these tropicals is giving me anxiety. :) |

| Don't worry, it's fine. When I collect them in the wild and bring them back to the US I dig them out of the ground, cut off all the stems and leaves, store it in bag for up to 2-3 weeks, then wash off ALL the dirt with water an a scrub-brush (not the best thing to do to the rhizome but required by customs to bring it into the USA). Then finally when I get back to the greenhouse I plant it and sure enough they almost always grow and come back. What you did is minor by comparison. It may take a few weeks before another stem pops out of the ground, but it will come back. Just be patient, gingers are tough. -Kyle |
