| Edible, but less flavorful than Zingiber officinale or other species that are cultivated specifically for their roots. |

| Thank you. I purchased the plant last year and it hasn't been as prolific a beauty as I had hoped. So, a White Bird of Paradise is now in it's place and I didn't want to just toss the root. |
