Why are my gingers not blooming?

| It is late in the season and my gingers have not bloomed. They are healthy and look great. What is the reason?

| I have the same problem this year. I have heard that often times it has to do with several factors like: location,fertilizer and watering. Mine are in the shade, I water heavily in Southern Cali, and they are about 6-7' tall. What type of fertilizer do you use and how often?? |
