Curcuma alismatifolia 'Pink' - Siam Tulip

I bought this a few months ago and just transferred it to a nice pot and it's sitting on my front porch. It gets mostly shade, but some sun. I've been trying to not let it dry out too much. It has two tall stalks with two flowers. The flowers are starting to get brown. What does this mean? I realize fall is near and I'm wondering how to handle this potted Siam Tulip? Any advice?

What most of us think of as the flower is not really the flower, but I understand specialized leaves. The true flower is rather small near the base of the pink leaves.

This psedo flower, lasts a long time. Even after thr true flowers are gone. For me they slowly turn brownish and die back. Eventually they start looking so ratty I just cut them back.

Hope this helps.

How far down do you cut it back? Should I wait a little longer?
