Ginger leaves

| Hi everybody, I am new in this forum (and please, forgive my english :) ). I am trying to grow a ginger plant from a rihzome that I bought; I put it in a 30cm pot with standard universal soil (the one that can be found in the bags at the supermarket). And actually the plant came out of the dirt, but the leaves remain one inside the other, is like they can't open. Did it ever happen to you? Wher's the problem?!

| They will come out. I had that happen when I first got leaves on my ginger. Keep in light shade - not too much hot sun - and as the plant grows the leaves will come out. Cheers,
