Grocery store ginger question

| I've managed to sprout two pieces of ginger. One is about 6 inches tall and the other is still very small. I know that this type of ginger doesn't get impressive flowers but I'm wondering if the flowers it does get have a strong scent. Thank you. |

| I don't remember a scent last year when my baby plant bloomed... Mine was indoors at the time. The flower was still neat, even if not showy. |
