Can I move/divide my H. 'Luna Moth?' emergency!

Something has gone major wrong with my Luna Moth..along with a couple other species (non ginger) it the same area. The tops have fallen over and are dessicated. The roots seem intact, not mushy or rotted. Normally I would never attempt to move a Ginger this time of year but something needs to be done. What do you all think? Since the tops are fried anyway, wilting and stress may not be the biggest issue. Thanks!

I divide mine anytime during the summer. Just do it early morning and put in shade a few days to recover or do it late in the evening when it's cool. Water well. The foliage may look limp just cut it off. It will have new growth in a week or so.

Maybe you have a stem borer attacking your plants. Have you checked for frass and little grubs in the stem? If so, maybe just lift your plants and force them into dormancy for this year and try insecticides next year
