Alpinia Purputa....goes dormant in winter??

does this go dormant and then come nack in spring?? or do i need to put in greenhouse for winter??
ok to dig up gingers to over winter in the greenhouse?? have other varieties that i would love to see blooms. ok to dig, pot up and then replant in landscape in spring??

No, it does not go dormant. I think Bill's response to your same question a few days ago discusses the issue of Alpinia purpurata in cool winter climates.
