Does anyone have any experience with costus cuspidatus? I need to know growing habits, diffulculty in taking care of it, any information would be great. Tara

It is certainly not hardy outdoors at your location. Most sources indicate it is hardy zone 8, but I have found it to be prone to rotting of the rhizomes. I have grown it in various light conditions and it seems to prefer about 3-5 hours of direct sunlight - at least in my north Florida climate. It is small enough to be grown in a pot and taken indoors in winter.
