Alpinia w/purplish leaves

I went to Walmart while taking a break from work yesterday, and they had some Alpinias (marked 'Alpina' but no more info on the label) marked down half price. They were not blooming, and the leaves are green on the top side and purplish on the underside. Would like to have help w/the id. I am going back today I think to pick one up.
Any information would be appreciated with the identification of this one. Thanks

Well, looking back at the dates I can see the ginger forum does not move quickly, though there is some excellent information. In "Google -ing" I mangaged to find an answer to my question from an older thread in this same forum. Below is the link.
