| I don't know the botanical name for this ginger but I would like to find out if it is culinary? Any help would be apreciated. It is a ginger the bloom is in the shape of a pinecone that grows next to the plant. |

| Pinecone ginger, aka, shampoo ginger is called Zingiber Zerumbet. It's main use, other than as a landscaping plant, is for shampoo and some minor medicinal uses. Zingiber Officianale is the edible variety. Steve |
