Just scored a beautiful 3 gallon red ginger at the plant sale!

Wow, it is beautiful and it was only $8! Someone was selling 4" pots for $7 and the 8 gallon size pots for $90 so I think I got a bargin especially since I paid closer to $20 for some rhizomes for my pink alpina purpurata. I am definitely going to more plant sales!

do alpinias do ok over winter here in 9b?? orlando/apopka.
i have several small plants i have planted in the ground, but wonder if i should pot them up for the winter to help them get established before planting in the ground??
