Zingiber niveum 'Milky Way' hardiness

Hi~~ I've seen conflicting info on the web regarding this ginger's hardiness...some sites say zone 8, and some say 9. Anyone out tested the hardiness of this one? I don't want to lose it the first winter I have it. Thanks!

Amy

I've had it overwinter in zone 8 for a few years now, basically since it was introduced, so Zone 8 is a safe bet.

Has come back up for me in 8B for 5 years now. Is in bloom now out in the yard after surviving the double whammy of Frances and Jeanne
