white butterfly ginger - does it EVER flower?

I've had it for several years now and have yet to have a bloom. This is the hottest summer I can remember, and it STILL doesn't bloom. It's been pot bound, repotted, etc. Beautiful leaves. No blooms. Ideas anyone?

In general, Hedychium bloom very late in the fall and so your climate is working against you in a big way. What many in the north try to do is get them in a warm place in April to try and get them growing inside and then put them out when the weather permits. By doing this you have extended your growing season by 2 months and you can get flowers late in the year. The main reason I grow Curcuma and Kaempferia and Globba.....they are winter dormant and flower every year for me without to much fuss. Best of luck :o) Dan
