Anyone want a Kaempferia?

Posted by ompus 10b, Miami (My Page) on

I have some unidentified Kaempferia which I think I'd like to give away. Can anyone tell me when I should lift them? If I send them north, how should the recipient overwinter them and when should they be replanted?

Finally, if you'd like a rhizome, I'll give them away for postage or exchange. Priority will depend upon when you respond and whether you have something to exchange (like your own unidentified Curcuma, Hedychium or Ginger).

Thanks,

Glenn

I'm under the impression that I should wait until the Kaempferia go dormant before digging them up. That hasn't happened yet. I'll check back on this thread when they do and contact you.

Hi, I'm just now venturing to the gingers and would love to try yours for postage or trade. I do not have anything on my list that's on your want list, but please check my list anyway in case there's something there of interest. Please let me know. Thanks!

Ompus-
I would like some- I am new to those. I also found a few things on your trade list that are interesting. Check my list-LMK- I also have some other things that should work for you- some Heliconia seedlings, some bromeliads, possibly some gingers.... I think we might be able to work something out-
