Drywall ceiling texturing

| We are going to have asbestos-laden popcorn ceiling treatments replaced with drywall texturing. Is the substance used for texturing inherently green, or is there some other substance than the usual drywall compound that could be used? There won't be any new drywall panels installed, just some minor repairwork and texturing... |
