What's the summer forecast for your region?

| I'm concerned the drought is going to continue around here. Most people I know are so happy there's no snow this winter, but it's very scary to me. Last summer was hot and dry and I don't look forward to going through another summer like that.
Not a good time to have an acre of green lawn I would imagine.
(I don't)

| lawn doesn't mind drought, if you leave it be! :) I'm expecting another fairly dry longish summer here on the coast .... or maybe that's wishful thinking? we've had enough rain and snow here on Vancouver Island to see us thru, tho there does appear to be less glacier up on that mountain every year if the weather concerns you, better figure out how to deal with it, as things do seem to be changing from what we've been used to Bill |

| I don't know, but in northern Italy we have had a most abnormally warm fall and winter, and spring is a month ahead of schedule. It has been very dry in the last year (twelve months). Given that summers here are always hot and dry, I foresee an ugly year ahead. Melissa |

We generally get no rain from May-October (just fog :-) We've had precious little rain so far this year - way below average. There is a good snowpack so they are not calling it a drought - but that is not doing my garden any good! Right now I save a lot of water (from baths, showers, soaking dishes, etc.) to water the garden.) Thinking about getting a sump pump so I can pump the water from the bath direct to a rain barrel below. Our water bills are outrageous ($90/month) but still a lot lower than our neighbors. |
