kitchen remodel turning out a bit green

We're likely not going to get the 5-star green rating that "This Old House" is currently going for, but we're learning! It's amazing how creativity kicks in and ideas start popping into your head!

We integrated a hand hewn beam and an old porch ceiling into our kitchen remodel. They weren't in the original plans (uh, I guess there were no original plans...) but I have to admit, these recycled affects are my favorite parts of the project so far. Best of all, they didn't cost us anything!

Check them out!

You've done a great job with everything! I especially like that you recognized all of the good times that were had in the original kitchen, and that beam is an absolute delight -- pulls the warmth of the original kitchen's "spirit" right in.
Love your webdesign!
