I'm a believer!!!

I have been watching the "going green" movement with interest. I started a compost pile, use reusable bags when shopping, and do not use pesticides in my flower beds.

I have done a lot of research on what to use to clean the house with. Earlier, I used vinegar and baking soda. No smell and it was clean! Even hard stains were not an issue!! In the bathroom, I used vinegar on the mirror, then on the counter: no change in cleaner or cloth, so I was not stopping and starting. I am going to buy some essential oils to add for a slight smell.

I will use this from now on, and hubby will use the store bought cleaners. He is not on the "clean green" movement yet When they are finished, that's it! No more wasted money!!

And then deeper down the rabbit hole you will fall. There are so many things one can do that it becomes a game to keep getting better and better.

I am currently working on water consumption and reuse. Got the wash water going outside, working on getting the bath water out on the plants to, and trying to think up a simple rain catch that can be moved in a year when we sell the place.

Nice! Personally, I've fallen in love with microfiber cloths. Unless you're working with raw meats or something else that truly needs disinfecting, there's no need for anything but water.
