What about Mosquitos???

I can't stand them. I live in an end unit townhouse, with no one beside me, and no one behind me, with a row of townhouses up the hill. There is no standing water, besides a birdbath, and I put those all natural dunk-ins in it. Yet daily I need to run to my car or front door in order to avoid them. I do the mosquito wipe off dance, and generally knock off at least 5 or 6, and my toddler as well. Is there an alternative way to control mosquitos other than chemicals?? Thanks for any advice!!! Christy

Find and remove sources of standing water.

The most often cited culprits for mosquito reproduction are old tires full of water, but a more pervasive and less visible problem area is in clogged gutters.

Ask your neighbors (and you too) to look for sources of standing water, and have them check their gutters.

Might also think about adding a few bathouse and some bird houses to your envirnoment. Bats and birds are wonderful insect control officers.
