5 really simple ways to go-green with your computer

Really simple ways to go-green with your computer:

1. Connect all your computer and peripherals that can be turned off at night to the same power strip. E.g. Computers, printers, docking stations, cell phone chargers, etc. Turn off the power strip at night when you retire.

2. If you or anyone you know likes forward fun emails, ask them to use forwardOn.com. They save enormous amount of bandwidth that is wasted when emails spread to millions of users. Plus, they donate to go-green charities.

3. Try and minimize the brightness of your monitor. There is a reason your laptop automatically lowers the brightness when you go to battery mode. It takes up lots of energy.

4. Set your browser homepage to some website that offers 'green tip of the day'. Once in a while you will be motivated to do something green. E.g. TreeHugger.com

5. Email these tips to your friends and family so that they join your cause. The steps are simple and if everyone does a little bit, it'll matter a lot :)

Thanks.
