Hi Len, you need a 'Green' Political Party in Australia. sounds like your heads of government are no different than ours. Our Greenie's are so few and diverse in interests, they hardly even make the news or the polls.

g'day tom,

we have them but sad to say once they make the grade and get into parliament they are just as corrupted as the rest that is the nature of the beast. one person from a very southern state resting on his laurels making good money now after being very public in helping to stop a dam project, now his state is still decimating pristene old growth forest all for wood chip.

thnk the community would need to stand togehter and have the pollies work for us nstead of themselves then change might be real and happen?

Hi Len, nothing corrupts like politics. With your drought down there, you would think green would become a grass roots effort and more people would rise to the occasion. If enough local politics turns to green, then they will infiltrate parliament. You and others like you can run for some offices to lend an ear to the problems...then the pollies have to pick up the concerns.

Hey! I like the sound of green and grass roots!

g'day tom,

most minor players get very little chance of winning a seat, but with todays political climate if enough people are fed up with the current mob they may put their votes to the minor players?

I completely agree with your essay in that in the U.S. builders do not even yet, build with conservation or green or even solar. So we have the same problems.

g'day tom,

our trend in housing is following yours at a great rate of knots, the industry is locked into this style and convince buyers through indoctrination that this is what is desirable, they are very expensive to build and maintain and use huge amounts of power.

with the ever increasing cost of land new players in the market are going to continue to find it more and more difficult to play the game.

thank you kyle,

the masses are plastered with full in their faces indoctrination of the current designs and appeals, just have a look at how they present new style homes on ads and also products the behind the product scenes are all subliminal re-enforcing the the promoted dream, it keeps the masses locked into the square and the comfort zone, so any other concepts are seen as alien.

the latest addition to the dream is all new retail homes now are going to be installed with air-con' whether you want it or not, next it will be central heating all in a time when we need efficiencies.
