Pie off between Baby Blue Hubbard and Winter Luxury Pie Pumpkin

We made pies from both squashes and the family decided they loved both but preferred the BBH over the WL. However, due to odd weather this past summer, we would like to grow these again and do a pie off next year as well if there is space in the garden just to double check. I wasn't impressed by the slow progress in growth from either plant but again my weather was completely bizarre so I am sure that that had something to do with it. There are others that have stated that the WL is notoriously unproductive. As far as flavor is concerned, I prefer both of them over sugar pumpkins. In case anyone is wondering, I promised to come back and tell others which squash I liked for pie. I'd love to hear people's preferences who have tried one or both.
